Requisitos:

Role Purpose

The Project Accountant is a finance professional responsible for managing the financial control of strategic projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role requires not only technical expertise in project accounting but also strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project teams, auditors, and international colleagues in a multicultural environment.

Core Responsibilities

Financial Control & Compliance

• Maintain financial control over project accounts and ensure compliance with company policies and contractual terms.

• Support compliance with audit requirements and contractual obligations.

• Identify project-related risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Reporting & Deliverables

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including cash flow statements and 17-week rolling forecasts .

• Calculate and monitor Percentage of Completion (POC) for revenue recognition under ASC 606 / IFRS 15.

• Deliver accurate financial insights for decision-making, including variance analysis and project profitability.

• Prepare and monitor hedge calculations , manage multi-currency exposures, and advise on hedging needs.

• Ensure high-quality reporting standards with clear ownership of accuracy and completeness.

Collaboration & Insights

• Work closely with project management, cost control, procurement, subcontracting, and planning teams to align financial data with operational activities.

• Translate operational progress into accurate financial impacts, including engineering team mobilization, project management teams, and marine vessel schedules .

• Interface with planners to ensure the timely and correct reflection of project milestones and costs.

• Serve as a key interface with internal stakeholders, auditors, and client representatives.

Business Development & Bids

• Support the analysis of new bids and tenders , with particular focus on cash flow projections and financial feasibility.

• Provide insights to management on the potential financial risks and returns of new projects.

Key Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 5 years preferably in oil & gas, EPCI, or construction industries.

Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Engineering.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced Excel and strong ERP system knowledge.

• Solid understanding of POC revenue recognition, hedge accounting, and multi-currency project environments.

Languages: Advanced to fluent in English & Portuguese.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with multicultural, international teams.

• Ability to work independently with ownership of deliverables and accountability for report quality.

• Analytical, proactive, and solutions-oriented profile.
