Job Description:

Regional Sales Manager is responsible for delivering annual top-line sales, distribution, Perfect Store Execution and MAC targets through managing distributor, retailers, and sales team.

This role is accountable for leading, motivating and setting strategic direction on a region level.

RSM is responsible for building and maintaining strong partnership relations with distributors and retailers, by developing mutually beneficial business plans which deliver optimal points of distribution, quality of execution and support business and category growth.

Grounded in the sales strategy, this role will build a highly performing sales team, ensure excellent execution of all sales initiatives across all channels, and drive delivery of agreed targets and objectives.

This role contributes to the development and execution of the overall regional plans via inspiring and engaging field sales team.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor degree in Business and/or Engineering related áreas
  • MBA/Master degree – desirable
  • English Proficiency

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Develop a deep understanding of the macro retailer environment in the region. This includes an in-depth understanding of local channel dynamics and complexity, local trends, competitors, and customers' current and future needs. 
  • Lead the development and delivery of Key customer’s long-term strategies aimed at optimizing profitability, maximizing value creation while achieving Mars Inc.’s and segments objectives.
  • Develop top management relationships, to nurture strategic and long-term alliances between Mars Inc and Customers
  • Promote a strong culture of performance, based on high-levels of numeric distribution, portfolio penetration and in-stores execution, based on Perfect Store guidelines.
  • Align and execute Joint Business Plans in a multi-channel environment, defining targets and supporting business solutions to achieve ambitions.
  • Manage trade investments efficiently, whilst ensure governance of consumer price strategic guidelines.
  • Lead, transform, inspire, engage, and direct customer teams within the region and in different segments to deliver both, segment, and Mars Inc agenda, through a high-performance culture.
  • Influence internal cross market and cross segment key stakeholders to ensure the needs of shoppers, trade partners and customers, are brought into functional strategic plans. 
  • Contribute to shaping and executing local customer strategy and leading the wider sales function to success. 
  • Liaise with client senior leadership team to influence Digital Comm initiatives and drive the agenda, since JBPs, until promotional calendar.
  • Identifying and recruiting key talent providing challenging and stretching tasks & assignments to drive engagement and results.
  • Plays senior co-ordination and collaboration role across Mars Inc’s business areas.
