**About Cloud & Network Services**

Cloud and Network Services is a leading Nokia business group that offers Network solutions on Core, Business and Enterprise segments, as well as Cloud solutions and Cognitive Services. It is a newly formed business group, that includes most of the former Nokia Software business, Nokia’s enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its former Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services (CNS) will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.

**_Title: Market CTO_**

The Chief Technical Officer (CTO) leads the technical definition, development, delivery, and evolution of complex, and often new customer solutions for Nokia Software Core, from pre-sales through the delivery and ongoing operation for a given Market in LAT, covering several Customers.

CTO are engaged on projects that introduce both significant technical and business risks, that span multiple products and services units that must be completed in multiple phases over a significant period of time, and/or where the consequences of project failure are high, and this for multiple Customers.

**Job Responsibilities & Competencies**

The CTO supports the Business Group Delivery Manager (BGDM) of his Market in evaluating and mitigating technical risks in both pre-sales and delivery phases.

**_Technical Leadership & Direction for Pre-sales Service Solution Development:_**

The CTO supports internal Nokia teams to develop the service solution that may be across Business Groups (Services, Products) and 3rd parties. The CTO, using a mix of strong consultative and technical skills, interacts with key customer contacts and decision makers to consult on customer objectives, gather business and technical requirements, establish credibility for Nokia’s service solution, and demonstrate technical leadership to the customer.

The CTO should ensure that both Technical Solution Document and Service Solution Document are consistent for the opportunities related to NSW Core in his Market Area. He/she could assess Product Software Matrix and BoQ when applicable.

**_Technical Management and Delivery Quality Assurance:

Provides technical direction to all xDAs (Cross-domain Architects), DAs (Domain Architects) and TPMs of project in his Market. The CTO insures technical completeness and appropriately limited scope, verification of Nokia and 3rd-party product commitments in support of the architecture, and communication with key stakeholders as to the architecture and technical implementation plan. He/she will also setup the interworking with other BGs for the NSW Core projects in his Market area.

Ensure that projects are staffed to troubleshoot and debug interoperability issues, oversee testing activity, and engage as required all technical resources (people & tools) available to the program to resolve issues.

**_Delivery Planning:_** Checks that TPMs are enabled to provides input to the Project manager developing the project plan, including phase definition, entrance and exit criteria, major activities, identification of task interdependencies, and technical project risks and mitigation strategies.
- Architecture and Design:_ CTO checks that projects are staffed to document the solution requirements, develops the overall design activity and the technical implementation planning documents such as the overall Migration and Solution Test strategy documents. He/she acts as Technical Authority and supports xDAs, DAs and TPMs to elaborate key deliverables as ATC-AIM Tailoring Checklist, HLD, LLD and SVS (Solution Validation Strategy).

The CTO will interface with xDAs, DAs and TPMs, to align inter-Domain aspects such as requirements - use cases, features, performance and interoperability to be applied in their projects.

The CTO will support xDAs, DAs and TPMs to use Nokia System Integration Methodology AIM in projects.

The CTO will participate in Key Gate Reviews for the projects in his Market. He/she will also review and sign-off Technical Documents as appropriate

He is the Escalation point for solution-level technical problems that arise beyond XDA and T
