We build and grow digital businesses in flowers, gifting, and local services, processing thousands of orders through proprietary technology, performance marketing, AI, and operational excellence. We're looking for an experienced E-Commerce Director to drive profitable growth—not just increase traffic. About the Role You'll own the end-to-end digital customer journey across multiple brands, from acquisition through checkout, retention, and repeat purchase. This is a commercial leadership role focused on improving conversion, customer experience, merchandising, experimentation, and profitability. Success is measured by business outcomes—not website activity. What You'll Own E-commerce growth strategy Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Customer journey & UX Merchandising & pricing Checkout optimization A/B testing & experimentation Retention (Email & SMS) SEO commercial performance AI-powered shopping experiences Cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Design, Analytics, and Operations Key Responsibilities Increase gross profit, conversion rate, AOV, retention, and profit per visitor. Build and execute the e-commerce growth roadmap. Lead CRO and experimentation programs. Improve customer experience across desktop and mobile. Optimize merchandising, pricing, promotions, bundles, and upsells. Improve customer retention and lifecycle marketing. Work with PPC and SEO teams to maximize profitable growth. Introduce AI-driven shopping and personalization where it creates measurable business value. Prioritize initiatives based on commercial impact rather than activity. Success Metrics You'll be accountable for measurable improvements in: Gross Profit Profit per Visitor Conversion Rate Average Order Value Checkout Completion Repeat Purchase Rate Customer Lifetime Value Incremental Profit from Experiments Requirements 7+ years in E-commerce, CRO, Growth, or Digital Commerce. 3+ years in an e-commerce leadership role. Strong in-house e-commerce experience (required). Proven success improving conversion, AOV, retention, or profitability. Experience leading CRO, experimentation, merchandising, and customer journey optimization. Strong understanding of unit economics and commercial performance. Experience working with Product, Engineering, PPC, SEO, Design, and Analytics teams. Excellent English (B2+). Available during Los Angeles business hours. Based outside the United States.
