Job Purpose

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for supporting the safe and reliable operation of electrical systems onboard the FPSO, contributing to performance improvement, asset integrity, and operational efficiency. The role provides technical analysis and engineering support to ensure compliance with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Support FPSO performance and safety by analysing MOCs (Management of Change), TQs (Technical Queries), and NOIs (Notification of Incidents), providing technical recommendations to the operations team;

Develop technical solutions and engineering studies related to electrical systems to resolve operational issues onboard the FPSO;

Provide technical support to offshore teams in the implementation of electrical improvements, testing, and system optimization;

Investigate electrical failures and incidents, performing root cause analysis and proposing corrective actions;

Prepare and review electrical engineering documentation such as P&IDs, electrical datasheets, equipment specifications, Cause & Effect diagrams, and electrical SOPs;

Participate in risk assessments (HAZOP, HAZID, HIRA, TRA), ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations, including NR-10 and NR-12.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering;

Previous experience in offshore operations (FPSO or oil & gas environment preferred);

Advanced English;

Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail;

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

Solid understanding of offshore oil and gas electrical systems and technologies;

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with electrical, automation, or control engineering software;

Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills with the ability to consistently deliver accurate and timely work.

Nice to have

Knowledge of power generation systems, load shedding, switchboards, or HV/LV electrical systems.
