Engineering Manager #2339 Position Summary: Our partner, an innovative financial technology company based in the gig economy, is looking to add an Engineering Manager to keep revolutionizing the way people interact with their finances by empowering users with intuitive tools to manage their money effectively. In this role, you will lead and support a team of engineers to deliver high-quality technical solutions that meet project requirements and timelines. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the entire engineering process from conception to completion, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and in accordance with specifications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for mentoring team members, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Experience and Education: Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field/experience. 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development. Proven track record of team leadership and project management experience. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines. Previous experience within the financial industry (as a plus). Skills and Strengths: Node React SDLC AWS RESTful APIs PostgreSQL SQL queries IaC (Infrastructure as code) CI/CD CI/CD pipelines Docker Kubernetes Jenkins Unit test GitLab Git Agile Scrum Communication with stakeholders/ c-level executives Technical leadership Primary Job Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team, ensuring alignment with best practices, industry standards, and emerging technologies. Review and participate in technical designs, code, and architecture for high-performance web applications, while ensuring scalability, security, and reliability of products. Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring completion within set timelines, budget, and process standards. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and establish timelines and milestones. Monitor project progress, identify process improvements and potential risks, to implement strategies that will increase efficiency and effectiveness in product development and delivery. Collaborate closely with product management, and stakeholders to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
