Financial Controller para Rio de Janeiro

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to prepare, monitor and control the financial reporting for our for our 4 legal entities covering our 7 operations in the region – and potentially more to come.

You will be working closely with the local accounting team and Finance Director and cooperating with the Head Quarter in Denmark.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly financial reporting
• Lead month-end closing procedures
• Perform mandatory monthly reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and alignment between balance sheets and accounts
• Analyze profit and loss (P&L) statements
• Lead the management of the local joint venture (JV), ensuring:
• Accurate OPEX recharges
• P&L review
• Profit split
• JV reporting, with support from the local Senior Accountant
• Reconcile the local ERP system (TOTVS) with the Group ERP system (Dynamics Business Central)
• Assist in setting up finance procedures for accounting teams and external accounting firms
• Liaise with the Commercial team
• Liaise with and provide reporting to auditors
• Communicate and report to the Finance team at the Danish headquarters
• Map, restructure, and implement new processes to improve organization, workflow, and automation within the department
• Prior experience with in-house accounting transitions is desirable

Qualifications:

• Strong experience in auditing small and mid-sized businesses or as a Financial Controller.
• Strong knowledge of local Brazilian taxes and reporting requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Strong ability to maintain a high-level overview while being hands-on and detail-oriented
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Team player with strong collaboration skills
• Fluent in English and Spanish
