Tasks and Responsibilities
Overview:
Setup the Finance function in Brazil and managing a Finance team an outsource accounting vendor.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:

Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities
Budgeting & Forecasting:
-
Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
-
Collaborate with business units to ensure alignment with financial goals.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
-
Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
-
Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Accounts Management:
-
Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger reconciliation processes.
-
Work closely with outsourced accountants (if applicable) to ensure accurate financial records, and working towards setting up a finance team to replace outsourced accountants
Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance financial processes.
-
Implement best practices for efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
Team Support
-
Step into the Finance Manager's role during absences or as needed.
Preferred Experience
-
5+ years of experience in financial management or a similar role.

Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial regulations, and ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Personal Attributes

High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills (English and Portuguese)

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Proactive and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Education and Key certifications necessary

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are preferred.
