Rio de Janeiro is our main office serving the Brazilian and South American markets, with a satellite office in Sao Paulo. More than 200 Norwegian companies are present in Brazil, where they deliver advanced technologies and services. The maritime industry is being reshaped by disruptive technologies, with decarbonization, digital innovations, autonomy, robotics and AI as important drivers. We are looking for a commercially oriented advisor to assist Norwegian companies with capitalizing on opportunities in the maritime sector in Brazil – and possibly within other countries in South America. Innovation Norway Rio de Janeiro is a lean team, and the role will demand both strategic advisory capability and hands on execution. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Advisory and business development services to Norwegian companies, supporting development and implementation of their export and growth priorities. Proactive engagement to identify and promote commercial opportunities and effectively build strong relationships with key partners in the region and in Norway. Sales prospecting and preparation of commercial proposals. Project management and execution of client deliveries. Provide market updates, collecting and leveraging data. Desired qualifications and experience: Consulting/sales/business development experience from the maritime sector in Brazil is essential. Experience in international expansion/Go To Market (GTM) commercialization is beneficial. Higher education, technical or commercial, within a relevant field. Proficiency in leveraging use of digital project management tools and AI is highly beneficial. Fluency in both Portuguese and English is essential. Key competencies and personal skills: Solid understanding of commercial drivers and processes. Knowledge of maritime technologies and the maritime sector. Structures & organized, with ability to deliver client impact within allocated budgets. Well-developed sensitivity to secure confidence of clients and key stakeholders, and the resilience to operate in a highly competitive business culture and under sustained pressure. Proactive self-starter, able to work and deliver results independently. Team player with good interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Why work at Innovation Norway?
