Due to a significant increase in demand for the Inductosense WAND technology we are seeking a driven and dynamic regional Sales Engineer for South America. This is an exciting time to join the team as we support major customers in the region with large volume deployments of our WAND technology.

About Inductosense:

Inductosense is a UK-based company that designs and manufactures ultrasonic sensor technologies for internal corrosion and erosion monitoring. You will join our team of industry experts, including engineers and academics, who have successfully trialled and deployed the Inductosense WAND technology with major operators across the world.

The WAND technology is an embeddable corrosion monitoring system that enables accurate, repeatable measurements and digitised data. Our solution enables customers to reduce costs associated with inspection and digitise their wall thickness measurements.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Engineer to supporting the UK team and local partners in managing and driving sales opportunities in South America. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaboratively maintaining current relationships, as well as finding and closing new business opportunities. This role requires a strong technical background in deploying monitoring technologies in the oil and gas market. The primary focus is on securing large contracts with national oil and gas, petrochemical and mining companies, but will involve some site work for sensor installations, equipment support, and data analysis to support the customer.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Team to develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the South American market, targeting oil and gas, as well as Petrochemical and mining companies.
  • Leverage existing relationships within key industry companies and establish new connections to create new business opportunities.
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with our local partners.
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with current clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities, driving revenue growth and expanding Inductosense's market share in South America.
  • Collaborate with the UK team and local partners to provide exceptional customer service, support, and technical expertise during sensor installations.
  • Supporting the UK team with ongoing R&D projects in South America
  • Provide after sales support including data analysis.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics in the oil and gas market in South America.
  • Attend regular internal meetings with the UK team and local partners, providing accurate sales forecasts and regular reports on sales performances.
  • Represent Inductosense at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong focus on deploying equipment monitoring technologies.
  • Proven track record of success in sales, business development, or a similar role, with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Established relationships within Brazil sites and an understanding of asset integrity inspection and corrosion monitoring in the South American market.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to travel within South America as needed for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
  • Good level of English, both written and spoken.
  • Right to work in Brazil
  • Able to travel regularly

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in selling NDT equipment within South America.
  • Experience within asset integrity inspection and corrosion monitoring.
  • Experience in scaling up sales operations.
  • Good level of Portuguese, and Spanish, both written and spoken.
