From Rio de Janeiro, M&O supports international subsea and offshore technology providers in winning new business with Brazilian operators, EPCIs and contractors through local technical sales expertise and structured sales representation.Role Summary
The Sales Executive – Subsea is responsible for driving M&O Partners’ commercial development within the Brazilian subsea market, with a primary focus on acquiring new customers and opportunities for M&O’s supplier portfolio of subsea equipment, systems and digital solutions.
Reporting directly to the Senior Advisor – Subsea, the Sales Executive - Subsea will proactively identify prospects, open doors at target accounts, progress opportunities through the sales cycle, position M&O’s supplier portfolio and develop new client relationships with offshore operators, subsea contractors, and engineering companies.
The Sales Executive - Subsea will engage with key stakeholders across the Brazilian subsea value chain, providing technical insight and solution‑driven support to ensure client needs are met, supplier value is clearly articulated, and sales objectives are consistently achieved.
Success in this role is measured by new logos, qualified pipeline creation, closed new business and sustained satisfaction across M&O’s subsea supplier portfolio.Key ResponsibilitiesNew Business Hunting & Development
Proactively research, identify and prioritize target accounts in the Brazilian subsea ecosystem, including E&P operators, subsea contractors, EPCIs and engineering consultancies.
Execute structured outbound prospecting (calls, emails, Linked In, events) to secure first meetings with decision‑makers and influencers in engineering, operations, and supply chain.
Open and quality new relationships (“new logos”) for M&O in the subsea market, convert leads into commercial opportunities and manage the full sales process from prospecting to contract closure, handing over matured accounts for farming when appropriate.
Expand M&O’s reach among key players in the subsea market, ensuring ongoing engagement and account development.Product & Solution Representation
Develop a strong technical understanding of subsea products and services in the M&O portfolio, including equipment, systems, intervention technologies and software used in subsea operations and integrity management.
Lead initial discovery and capability meetings, presenting supplier solutions and tailoring the value proposition to Brazilian subsea project needs.
Coordinate deeper technical discussions with supplier specialists while maintaining commercial ownership of the opportunity.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of supplier innovations, certifications, and subsea industry standards.Market Intelligence & Competitive Insight
Monitor Brazilian subsea project pipelines, pre‑salt developments, brownfield tiebacks and intervention campaigns to time outreach and proposals effectively with M&O’s supplier portfolio (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs).
Map competitive offerings and routes‑to‑market, identifying white space and differentiation angles for M&O’s supplier portfolio.
Provide structured insights on projects, competitors and customer requirements to the Senior Advisor - Subsea and M&O’s supplier portfolio to refine targeting and positioning.Sales Process & Reporting
Support the development of sales strategies aligned with M&O’s objectives for the subsea market.
Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene, logging activities, contacts, opportunities, next steps and realistic pipeline forecasts.
Monitor proper use by M&O’s supplier portfolio in the subsea market of our CRM tool.
Report regularly to the Senior Advisor - Subsea on number of new leads and first meetings, pipeline volume and quality, stage progression and new business closed.Skills and Competencies
Technical Sales Expertise: Proven success in B2 B sales of technical/engineered solutions in subsea, offshore, SURF or related industrial environments.
Client‑Facing Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise value propositions for Brazilian subsea stakeholders at multiple levels.
Negotiation & Commercial Acumen: Comfortable navigating Brazilian procurement processes, RFQs and tenders, and supporting commercial negotiations for high‑value contracts.
Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Uses market data and project intelligence to prioritize accounts, design prospecting campaigns and focus on highest‑potential opportunities.
Autonomy & Collaboration: Self‑starter who plans and executes their own hunting activities while closely aligning with the Senior Advisor and the Sales teams.
Language skills: fluent Portuguese and advanced English.Experience Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience within the subsea industry (ideally serving the Brazilian SURF market) with an active network of professionals.
Minimum 2 years of B2 B technical or industrial sales, preferably within subsea, offshore or engineered equipment sectors.
Demonstrated track record in outbound prospecting, generating new business and closing new accounts (not only managing existing ones).
Experience engaging with E&P operators, subsea contractors, EPCIs and intervention/service companies in Brazil.
Solid understanding of project‑driven, longer‑cycle sales and formal procurement environments and technical sales environments.
