Job Overview: The Senior Contract Management Spec uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve the Contract Management discipline within McDermott. They act as a resource for less experienced colleagues and share expertise related to Contract Management. They solve complex problems and impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities, ensuring compliance with guidelines and policies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Contracts and commercial aspects of projects under the direction of Contract Managers.
- Assist with contract kickoff activities, including review of insurance certificates, bank guarantees, and contract documents.
- Participate in contract review meetings to promote understanding and support project implementation.
- Maintain contract records and assist in preparing contractual and commercial correspondence.
- Contribute to project risk meetings and develop project change proposals.
- Ensure accurate reflection of contract and commercial issues in monthly reports.
- Support project close-out activities related to contracts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 2-3 years experience in Contracts, Construction Contracting, or similar roles.
- Experience in Offshore, Subsea, or Onshore Oil and Gas projects preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of the oil and gas construction industry.
- Experience in Contract Management, Legal, or Construction Contracting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
