Job Purpose
The Senior Cost Controller is responsible for ensuring accurate financial control, cost management, and compliance across business units, supporting operational performance and strategic decision-making, particularly within FPSO operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage accounts receivable processes, including aging reports and timely customer collections;
Ensure accurate and timely posting of invoices and revenue entries;
Manage billing processes, ensuring charges are issued in accordance with signed contracts and agreements;
Ensure compliance with Brazilian withholding tax regulations and statutory requirements;
Support month-end and year-end closing activities;
Prepare and review monthly accruals and revenue reconciliations;
Review, analyze, and explain variances in monthly and quarterly management and vessel reports (ERP);
Ensure timely and reliable financial closing and statutory reporting;
Maintain, review, and improve accounting procedures, processes, and internal controls;
Ensure group reporting meets corporate, audit, and tax compliance requirements;
Liaise with operations and provide finance/accounting support to business units;
Resolve accounting and financial queries and support cross-functional activities as needed.
Requirements
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in FPSO or offshore oil & gas operations;
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields;
Fluent English;
Strong knowledge of financial controls, cost management, and Brazilian tax legislation;
Experience with IFS ERP is a strong advantage.
