Our ideal candidate independently performs installation and commissioning work; coordinates the work activities with other stakeholders at the customer site along with the Service Coordination and Scheduling team. Executes installation and commissioning activities on customer locations for services according to the agreements, within budget and in line with our business objectives on ethics, quality, health, safety, and environment. You will contribute to Americas Operations Teams by delivering top level service on time and with our First Time Right processes. The role sits within Deepsea Operations team and reports to the Team Lead of Technical Services. Workplace type: Onsite with extensive travel Job Type: Full Time Location: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil What You Will Do You will: Perform installation and commissioning works on yards, ships and other maritime installations Install and commission maritime navigation, communication and automation equipment based on designs and technical drawings Ensure optimal work preparation to verify that all necessary information on work and scope is available before commencement of work Ensure that all required materials and tools are both present and ready for use, and manage the materials required in the execution of the project work Ensure that the work performed is within the agreed contract scope; ensure that all agreed conditions are met before the work starts. Report deviations to the project manager Ensure that all works can be executed in a safe and responsible manner; stop all works if not the case What Does Success Look Like? Success in the Service Engineer role is a result of compliance to procedures and repeatable successful delivery of service. Over the first 6 months, the Team Lead of Technical Services ensures you have the mentorship, training and certifications to have a long successful career in this industry. Radio Holland stands apart from the other service providers as uniquely skilled in various manufacturers products and services, and your position on this team allows professional skillsets to be grown to support the Americas Operations. Deliver Results A person is successful in this role when they: Check and test the operation of the delivered equipment based on the specified quality and functional requirements in the (technical) order and project data, drawings, inspection plans, scripts and test protocols Develop the skills to correct abnormalities and malfunctions across multiple OEMs and product lines Hand over the commissioned equipment to the client, record the customers approval and possible comments Record as-built changes in the documentation package, hand-over documents and warranty certificates Report on hours spent, progress, issues, deviations in work or scope, and safety concerns to the project manager and engineer to ensure accurate invoicing and documented trail of compliance Give user training on the delivered equipment.
