Job Purpose

Carrying out highly complex activities in the development of studies for the application of new technologies / new equipment, with the aim of presenting technical and economic feasibility reports on the product. Working autonomously, reporting results.

Job Description

Develop and/or support engineering design activities for the equipment and accessories that will make up the flexible lines by means of structural analysis using analytical formulations or analysis using the finite element method (including fatigue, where applicable);

Carrying out reports and presentations on the results of these analyses;

Leading change management processes;

Evaluate technical documentation and standards;

Consolidate knowledge and instructions regarding the products developed;

Responding to internal and external technical queries;

Evaluate manufacturing non-conformity reports;

Evaluating supplier design documentation;

Consolidating and passing on knowledge through training for less experienced engineers.

You are meant for this job if:

Degree in Engineering

Excellent command of English

Experience in the analysis and structural design of metal components using international standards applicable to the industry, using analytical formulations and finite element models.
Understanding of stress classification in linear-elastic analysis (ASME VIII. div.2, for example) and correct interpretation of results from numerical models.

Experience with offshore equipment design; experience with performing fatigue analysis (using DNV-RP-C203, for example), performing elastoplastic FEA analysis (using DNV-RP-C208, for example), knowledge of numerical and analytical thermal analysis, knowledge of equipment cathodic protection sizing, knowledge of bolted joint analysis, experience with materials, tests and technical specifications, and knowledge of some programming language (preferably Python).

Tools:
Mandatory: Ansys (Design Modeler or SpaceClaim and Mechanical)
Desirable: Autocad, Inventor, Abaqus, Mathcad, Python (or other programming language)
