Requisitos:
The Regional Tax Coordinator will support the global tax function with end‑to‑end ownership of multi‑jurisdiction tax compliance, controversy, and operational readiness. The role encompasses direct and indirect taxes, withholding tax and treaty management, transfer pricing oversight, and implementation of new global regimes such as Pillar Two.
The coordinator will drive strategic tax planning initiatives that optimize the effective tax rate and cash taxes while ensuring robust compliance, operational substance, and scalable controls and automation. This position partners closely with finance, controllership, treasury, legal, and business teams to support new transactions, products, and market entries and to proactively assess permanent establishment and nexus risks.
RESPONSABILITIES
i. Ensures timely and accurate tax compliance across all in‑scope jurisdictions, including corporate income taxes, indirect taxes such as VAT, GST, ICMS, and ISS, and withholding tax returns and information reporting.
ii. The role owns the global tax calendar and filing controls, establishing standard operating procedures and clear accountabilities to maintain a consistently high on time filing rate and audit readiness.
iii. Map tax opportunities and risks, proposing and implementing tax planning initiatives and corporate restructurings aimed at tax efficiency and reduction of the overall tax burden.
iv. Act in a consultative capacity with business areas, treasury, and controllership, providing support on tax-related matters and new transactions.
v. Monitor changes in local and international tax legislation and ensure the implementation of internal improvements to comply with new regulations.
vi. Lead internal and external tax audits and inspections with authorities in Brazil and other jurisdictions, managing controversy strategies and external advisors to achieve efficient, defensible outcomes.
vii. Analyze due diligence reports and provide support for strategic projects, such as the development of new products and M&A transactions.
viii. Develop and monitor robust internal controls to mitigate tax risks.
ix. Prepare reports and documentation to support senior management in tax-related matters.
QUALIFICATIONS
i. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, law or related area
ii. Minimum 8 years of experience, (Big 4 or public company experience preferred)
iii. Language: English, advanced / Spanish, desirable
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
i. Strong knowledge of global tax laws, cross-border regulations, and transfer pricing principles.
ii. Proficiency with tax preparation software and ERP.
iii. Experience with Financial institutions is desirable
