Description FIFA has established a Local FIFA Subsidiary in Brazil to work together with FIFA Zurich to deliver the biggest women’s sporting event in the world, the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ ("FWWC2027"), which will be hosted in South America in Brazil for the first time. As part of the workforce creating this unique, unforgettable experience, you will join the Language Centre team as Translation Project Manager, collaborating closely with FIFA Zurich key collaborators and other individuals responsible for delivering an engaging, innovative, multilingual and accessible World Cup experience for all participants. Location Brazil – Rio de Janeiro (must have legal right to work in Brazil and be able to relocate). Department Administration Responsibilities Managing and supervising the translation services provided by the FWWC27 office to all stakeholders. Handling issues related to translation services and overall FWWC27 operations. Planning language operations for the event, pre‑tournament and during competition. Reporting daily business metrics to the Head of the Language Centre in Zurich. Ensuring smooth collaboration and efficient processes between FIFA and the FWWC27 office. Identifying and using AI technologies to streamline translation processes and increase productivity. Strengthening FIFA’s translation vendor network in the Americas when required. Serving as the first point of contact for translation requests from the FWWC27 team and other FIFA stakeholders. Handling requests in FIFA’s translation management system. Allocating resources and coordinating large multilingual projects (CMS/CXM, apps, publications), occasionally managing different teams (developers, graphic designers, desktop publishers). Monitoring and controlling translation requests. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in translation, localization, or language technology studies. At least five years of experience as a translation/localization project manager using a state‑of‑the‑art translation management system. Minimum of two years managing projects with Trados. Experience working in global language teams across different time zones. Team player with strong prioritization skills and ability to work under high pressure. Openness and interest to learn. Native Brazilian Portuguese speaker and full professional competency in English (written and oral). Proficiency in French and/or Spanish is a plus. Experience in sports and/or entertainment industries is a plus. Requirements Must have legal right to work in Brazil. Ability to relocate and work from Rio de Janeiro. Fluent in English and Portuguese mandatory; fluent in Spanish is a big plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
