Requisitos:

ICM Group is looking for a Drilling Superintendent to join a Major Drilling Contractor for a 12-Month contract likely to renew to work in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Drilling Superintendent with extensive experience in offshore operations and office management. The ideal candidate will oversee drilling activities, ensuring safe and efficient operations while coordinating with on-site and office teams. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership:
  • Manage and oversee drilling operations on-site, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Coordinate with rig personnel and contractors to ensure effective drilling operations, addressing any challenges that arise.
  • Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and implement drilling programs, schedules, and budgets.
  • Review and optimize drilling techniques to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety meetings and drills.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and train drilling teams, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Manage staffing and resource allocation for both offshore and office-based teams.
  • Communication and Reporting:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for drilling operations, liaising with project stakeholders, including engineers, geologists, and management.
  • Prepare and present reports on drilling progress, costs, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Technical Oversight:
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate and select drilling technologies and equipment.
  • Monitor drilling performance and implement solutions to optimize operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Solid experience with Offshore Drilling Management
  • Past experience working with offshore drilling for SS or Drillship
  • Fluent Portuguese and English
  • Fluent Chinese would be an asset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with (specific drilling technologies or methods, e.g., directional drilling, well completion).
  • Certification in HSE or safety management.
  • (Any other relevant certifications or licenses).
